About Me
I spent several years talking to people from a variety of spiritual/religious backgrounds in order to understand what it’s like to have faith. I grew up without faith and enviously assumed people with it are better off than people without it. I didn’t think it mattered all that much, what that faith was, necessarily, as long as you had faith in something. I actually believed that if I talked to enough people I would discover a common thread throughout each religion, which would confirm my personal belief that all religions are basically our way to try to get to the same God.
In my previous life, I was a marketing executive in the financial services industry. When the economy took a dive, I got laid off. My response to being unceremoniously kicked to the curb after a twenty years was, awesome, now I can pursue my interest in spirituality. I figured I’d write about my profound discoveries, solve the world’s problems and head back to the working world in say a year. Ha. I had a lot to learn.
